Transforming Relationships
Dating Practically Brand and Website
Unexpected connections.
After years of working for large matchmaking services, Nada Rifai wanted to stake out on her own with a personal brand of relationship coaching services — Dating Practically. She loved relationship coaching because it allowed her to help people with personal growth while they were seeking love. This unique approach is what sparked a great conversation between Nada and a Sherwood Fellows teammate … but not initially on a sales call. They first met during a matchmaking profile call, where our teammate shared what Sherwood Fellows does, and Nada decided to invest in bringing Dating Practically to life.
“Hiring Sherwood Fellows was the best investment I made all year."
After a 3-hour Sprint with Nada, we distilled her ideals into a manifesto of core beliefs. That manifesto (which you can read here) made Nada cry with joy, because she felt so understood: her deepest goals had been perfectly articulated. We discovered that, while Dating Practically is a relationship service, its major focus is helping people become the best version of themselves — whether or not they are in a relationship. This idea created a solid foundation for us to build Nada’s visual identity, website strategy, and social posts.
Building a strategy as unique as our client.
A creative spirit at heart, Nada had lots of aesthetic preferences but little idea on how to weave them together. Our design team landed on a calming, reflective visual language that utilized topographic lines to add movement and convey the deep maps of the human soul. We used the website creation process as a chance to better define Nada’s service offerings. Finally, we created a set of social posts templates on Canva that would allow Nada to build endless new branded posts from a few presets. Nada’s distinct outlook on love and life was an encouragement to us all.
